I participated in the MIRAI2.0 meeting and gave a short presentation during the "Implications of AI" seminar, chaired by Markus Liwicki (right), called "Impact of AI on the fields of palaeography and History".

Lately I have had very fruitful discussion meeting with ArkivDigital and Riksarkivet about Handwritten Text Recognition and also Face Recognition, on historical materials. Therefore, I plan several master thesis during 2024, so please get in touch with me if you are interested!

I participated in a workshop about QGIS held at CDHU the 2:nd of November, arranged by InfraVis and CDHU.

This 5 hour tutorial was given in Umeå 24:th of October and covered different data visualisation techniques, useful for machine learning etc. About 17 persons attended, from different disciplines, many from the humanities. I was invited as a Committee member at a PhD defence at the Otto von Guericke University in Magdeburg, Germany, where M.Sc. Afra'a Ahmad Alyosef, on the 28:th of September 2023, successfully defended her PhD Thesis. The main supervisor was Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Nürnberger, Fakultät für Informatik (FIN) Institut für Technische und Betriebliche Informationssysteme (ITI).
